The purpose of the study is the development of scientifically grounded time standards and the number of employees of sanatorium and spa establishments belonging to the sphere of management of the Ministry of Social Policy and their scientific substantiation, which will promote the increase of labor productivity, the establishment of a reasonable number of employees, the determination of the complexity of the provision of services and the execution of other works, and will also enable the effective use of budget funds. Methods of research - qualitative analysis and synthesis, generalization, grouping, systematization, comparative legal analysis, evaluation and others. The results of scientific research and the novelty of the work are as follows: the norms of the number of employees of the rehabilitation department of the sanatorium and resort institution of the sphere of management of the Ministry of Social Policy have been developed; amendments have been made to the list of professional titles in accordance with the requirements of the National Classifier of Ukraine DK 003: 2010 "Classifier of Occupations"; modernized names of types of work performed by employees of stationary establishments in accordance with the branch releases of the Directory of qualification characteristics of occupations of workers; A table of professional titles of works used for creating titles of positions and professions in sanatorium and resort establishments in accordance with the requirements of Appendix B to Classification of professions has been developed; A draft of the new edition of the Collection of "Norms of the Number of Employees of Sanatorium and Resort Facilities in the Area of Management of the Ministry of Social Policy" was prepared. The results of scientific research are intended for use by the Ministry of Social Policy of Ukraine, as well as sanatorium and resort institutions. The use of the updated edition of the "Regulations on the number of employees of sanatorium and spa establishments in the area of management of the Ministry of Social Policy" will help to determine the optimal number of employees of sanatorium and spa establishments according to the functions and performed types of work and to substantiate the required number of full-time employees when drawing up corresponding staff descriptions of these establishments according to the current state of functioning establishments.
