Non-tumor stem cells that are detected in tumors can take an active part in the tumor process, providing the development of the vascular and connective tissue network of the tumor. It was found that the degree of infiltration of tumor cells by immune cells depends on the content of stem-cell tumor CD-133 + cells, the more these cells, the more significant decrease in the level of CD-8 cells responsible for cytotoxic, antitumor activity. In malignant tumors, there is more inhibition of immune responses than in benign, which is manifested by a decrease in proliferative capacity, cytotoxic activity of lymphocytes, an imbalance in the individual subpopulations of lymphocytes in peripheral blood. It has been shown that during cultivation of in vitro cells of tumor cells and peripheral blood of patients with gliomas under the influence of certain activators (supermitogens), immunosuppressive cytokines that inhibit proliferative capacity of lymphocytes and myeloperoxidase activity of neutrophils are isolated in the culture medium. The peripheral blood of patients with brain tumors is characterized by an elevated level of middle mass molecules (MMM), which depends on the histostructure and degree of anaplasia of the tumors, which suggests the tumor origin of MMM and the ability to inhibit immune responses and stimulate tumor growth. It has been established that antiserum against cells of the embryonic brain in vitro can be a cause of different cytotoxic effect and inhibit proliferation of tumor cells. The action of antiserum depends on the dose and type of tumor. The obtained results point to the prospect of further study of similar antiserums for their use in scientific and clinical work with a diagnostic and, possibly, curative purpose.
