The purpose of the study: Based on the study of clinical epidemiology of gunshot and explosive injuries of the limb nerves in Ukraine, refinement of the pathogenetic mechanisms of nerve damage and their consequences, peculiarities of clinical manifestations and the course of traumatic injuries, features of surgical and non-surgical methods of treatment, including rehabilitation measures, to substantiate and to develop a system of medical care for gunshot and explosive damage to the nerves of extremities and its consequences. Research methods : сlinical methods, neurophysiological complex of preoperative diagnosis and intraoperative diagnostics and ENMG evaluation of treatment outcomes, ultrasound examination of arteries of the upper limb, experimental (Determination of the effectiveness of the tissue-engineering approach to overcome a significant defect of the peripheral nerve in the experiment), morphological (light-microscopic study); statistical (mean arithmetic and error of mean arithmetic, Student criterion, regression line comparison, U Wilconson, Mann-Whitney criterion). The nature of structural damage in the firearms of the limbs is investigated. The methods of restoration of the function of damaged nerves with large nerve defects, multiple nerve injuries, nerve traumatic contusion have been proposed. New methods of reconstructive restorative treatment interventions that are widely used to eliminate the consequences of gunshot wounds have been developed. The concept of restoration of the function of the limb with the consequences of peripheral nerve gunshot injuries is proposed.
