Objective: to determine the main factors of the formation of internal radiation exposure of inhabitants of RCT on the basis of conducting complex radiation-hygienic monitoring in selected settlements (S) of these territories and estimation of radiation doses of the population at the current stage of the accident. Methods: spectrometric, radiochemical, mathematical. Results: Complex radiation and hygienic monitoring in 26 S RCT in Kyiv, Rivne, Zhytomyr regions in 2016-2018 has shown that annual effective radiation doses of the population in the surveyed settlements at the current stage of the accident are formed due to doses of internal exposure that do not exceed 0,22 mSv / year in Kyiv, 1,6 mSv / year in Rivne, 1,21 mSv / year in Zhytomyr regions, with a RCT criterion of 1 mSv / year. A further decrease in the average annual doses of internal exposure in the surveyed S was registered: in 2,6-4,1 times (0,090-0,174 mSv / year in 2013 and 0,035-0,042 mSv / year in 2016) in Kyiv, 1,2 -1.4 times (0.206-0.332 mSv / year in 2014 and 0.105-0.279 mSv / year in 2017) in Rivne and 1.1-1.9 times (0.101-0.127 mSv / year in 2015) and 0,06-0,14 mSv / year in 2018) in Zhytomyr regions. It was established that the main factor that generates the dose of internal radiation is the introduction of Cs-137 into the body of inhabitants with milk and forest products, mushrooms, which traditionally occupy a significant part of the diet in the Polissya region. The content of Cs-137 in the overwhelming majority (86 %) of milk samples collected from the residents of the surveyed S of Rivne region and mushrooms in all areas significantly exceeds the permissible level (PL). The maximum registered content of Cs-137 in milk samples is 385 Bq / l, which is 4 times higher than the PL of the Hygienic norm HN 6.6.1.1-130-2006, in dried mushrooms - 113 kBq / kg - 45 times higher than PL. The content of Cs-137 and Sr-90 in potatoes and milk of the surveyed S of the Kiev and Zhytomyr regions and potatoes in the Rivne region is lower than S and the use of these foods cannot significantly affect the formation of the dose of internal radiation. The values of annual doses of external exposure to the population in the surveyed S in Kiev (254-322 mkSv / year), Rivne (262-323 mkSv / year), Zhytomyr (293-489 mkSv / year) regions, calculated on the results of researches 2016-2018, are at the level of average values of external exposure doses of the population before the accident, obtained due to the natural radiation background (300-650 mkSv / year).
