Purpose - the purpose of the research is to study the current parameters of the structure and age structure of the population of the studied radioactive contaminated territories; analysis of CEDR databases for 1986-2016 and elaboration of an ecological and dosimetric radiation exposure model for residents of the Poliske region of the Kyiv oblast. Research methods - the methods of the research include general scientific, demographic, mathematical-statistical and computer programming. Results - It has been established that during 1986-2016 both the population of Ukraine and the regions of the study mostly decreased. Among the radioactive contaminated territories (RZT) the largest decrease was in Kozelest (-32.93 thousand people) and Ovruch (-30.96 thousand people) areas. Growth of the population was found in Rokytne (+5.28 thousand people) and in Sarny regions (+9.42 thousand people). In 2017, the sex composition of the population in the country (52.7 %), as well as in the region indicated that womenprevailed over men (from 50.4 % Rokytne region to 56.7 % Kozelets) , except for the district of Sarny, where thepart of men represents an increase of 1.5 per cent. In the structure of age of the Ukrainian population, genderinequality (prevalence of men over women) exists from birth for 35, a similar tendency was observed only in the district of Olevsk region. Most territories have a high or very high level of gender imbalance in favor of women (especially notably after 65). The most active age group in the RZT (from 41.2 % in the Ripky region to 66.3 % in Poliske region and in Ukraine (68.4 %) was the able-bodied population (15-64 years old). Rokytne (30.4 %), Sarny (24.6 %), Olevsk (20.6 %), and Poliske regions (18.1 %) - are among of the few in Ukraine, where the percentage of children under the age of 15 exceeds the total population percentage of people over 65 years of age. The indicator of the total demographic burden on the working-age population among the studied RCT was the smallest in Korosten (474 people per 1000 population) and Olevsk region (488 people per 1.000 people), the highest - in Rokytne (635 people per 1,000 people) the region. In the vast majority of studied areas in rural areas demographic load is higher than in urban areas. The average age of the population in comparison with Ukraine (41.1 years) is higher in Ripky, Kozelets,Korosten, Ovruch and Narodichi regions, and the lower one is in Rokytne and Sarny. The difference between middle age men and women from 3.6 years (Sarny region) to 7.7 years (Ripky region). RZT have different modes (progressive, stationary and regressive). In the nearest future, the Rokytne, Sarny and Olevsk regions have the best demo-reproduction potential. After the accident at the Chernobyl NPP , intensive ecological and dosimetric monitoring were carried out in the study areas, which included measurements of the Cs-137 fallout density on the soil surface, Cs-137 concentration measurements in the milk of private farms, measurement of the inclusion of Cs-137 and Cs-134 in inhabitants of populated areas, as well as the assessment of "passport" doses ofinhabited areas and doses on the thyroid gland of representatives of various gender-age groups in 1986. The results of the research are stored in the CEDR NRCRM. An analysis of CEDR databases for 1986-2016 was carried out and an ecological and dosimetric model of radiation exposure of residents of the Polissya region of the Kyiv oblast was developed.
