Based on the study of optical spectra and volt-ampere characteristics, diamond samples with a very low nitrogen concentration (<0.1 ppm) in type IIa diameters and boron concentrations (30-40 ppm) in diamond type IIb were selected. From selected monocrystals, prototype diamond plates are made and chemical coatings from the gas phase are coated with contact coatings consisting of an adhesion layer of titanium, an electrically conductive layer of copper, and a protective layer of silver. The case and amplifier of the diamond detector for the registration of multicomponent ionizing radiation has been developed and manufactured. The response of the developed detector with diamond sensing elements to the irradiation of 241Am? -Particles is researched. Using the FLUKA simulator, based on alpha-particle irradiation studies, a diamond detector response to slow neutrons was simulated. As a result of the simulation, the maximum sensitivity of the detector to the registration of slow neutrons is determined, depending on the thickness of the converter layer 6LiF or B2O3, which is about 10% for both coatings, which is a good indicator for the detectors.
