Purpose: to prepare information and analytical materials on the attractiveness and feasibility of investing in the socio-economic complex of Kiev in order to prepare responses for potential investors in the Kyiv economy in general and for potential investors in municipal bonds of the city. The result of the works: definition of the role of the city of Kyiv in the socio-economic system of Ukraine for 2017; analysis of industrial activity in Kyiv in the dynamics as the basis of economic capacity of the city; research of innovation activity in Kyiv and identification of the main problems; studying the budget system of the city, analysis of budget expenditures in the context of the main areas of activity of the city authorities, analysis of urban lending policy. The results of the study are aimed at creating favorable opinion of rating agencies about the level of stability and creditworthiness of the city and the low probability of failure of the city to fulfill its financial obligations.
