Objective: to evaluate and select the selection numbers of the most productive for seed and feed productivity in the first year of life in competitive and preliminary variety trials. Research methods: hybridization, selection, field and laboratory studies, statistical analysis. The main results of the study: according to the results of the evaluation of breeding numbers of the first year of life, such numbers as 155/18, 157/18, 158/18 and 163/18 were reliably distinguished in the competitive variety trials for seed and fodder productivity, 6/18 in the preliminary variety trials , 9/148, 11/18, 12/18, 14/18, 16/18 and 25/18. These breeding samples turned out to be the most adapted to the favorable environmental conditions.
