The purpose of the work is to test and improve the existing technologies of scientific and consultative support for the transfer of innovations in the field of livestock breeding and to substantiate the feasibility of their introduction into production, which will enable to increase the productivity of animals and increase profitability of livestock production. During the year, scientific-consulting and informational services were provided to the subjects of APV in the development of methods of profit-making management in the areas of rabbit meat and fur farming, pig breeding, dairy and meat cattle breeding in farms of different forms of ownership. Information materials were continuously distributed, which highlighted the current issues of animal breeding management. Conducted in 2017: 10 seminars, conferences, meetings; 11 round tables, 4 courses; 5 exhibitions, auctions, fair. About 250 consultations were given, 2 informative leaflets, articles in newspapers, 28 journals, speeches on radio1, television 1 were given. 101 specialists of the agro-industrial complex were trained. On the basis of the experimental rabbit farm, the functioning of the 1 model rabbit farm was arranged to demonstrate the technology of keeping rabbits in the enclosed premises and introduced an automated system for recording rabbits using the ASPOC software environment (automated rabbit breeding accounting system). Interactive mode of its own Web-site is provided - http://bioresurs.inf.ua, which covers current news, provides information on scientific developments of the institution, breeds of animals, technology, scientific products and services offered by the research station. The third issue of the electronic collection of scientific papers "Effective rabbit and animal husbandry" was published, which was included in the list of electronic scientific professional editions of Ukraine from May 10, 2017, in which the results of dissertation papers for obtaining scientific degrees of the doctor and candidate of sciences in the field of agricultural sciences may be published. 4 monographs were published.
