The obtained values of the value of total alpha activity is at the level of (0.13 - 1.34) mBq/kg, the limits for internal radioactivity of 228Th in crystals are (0.17 - 7.7) uBq / kg. Measurements of double beta decay of neodymium isotopes (148,150Nd) to the first excited levels of daughter nuclei were prepared and started by using four low-background germanium detectors at the Gran Sasso laboratory. Energy calibrations of the setup were carried out and measurements of the background of neodymium oxide samples were started.
