The theoretical and methodological bases of the study of the essence and peculiarities of threats and challenges to the economic security of modern enterprises are generalized; the essence and structural and elemental composition of economic security of enterprises are specified; the system of criteria for external and internal economic challenges of economic entities is defined; the theoretical and scientific-methodical principles of providing and managing the economic security of enterprises in the global conditions of management are developed; the directions of leveling the threats to economic security of enterprises in the context of globalization processes of the world economy are proposed. The scientific significance of the research results is to summarize the views of scientists in determining the essence of economic security of enterprises. Theoretical developments aimed at the study of the processes of guaranteeing the economic security of enterprises, the organizational and economic mechanism of its provision, the elaboration of theoretical and scientific and methodological bases for minimizing external and internal threats under the conditions of the global environment acquire a significant scientific and methodological value for the development of domestic economic entities and national the economy as a whole.
