Objective: search, systematization, analysis and synthesis of scientific and technical literature data on the theoretical and practical aspects of creating low-cement refractory concrete based on the compositions of the Al2O3 - SiO2 - MgO - CaO - SiC system. According to the data of scientific and technical literature, the types of raw materials and functional additives for the manufacture of concrete with a low content of hydraulic binder are analyzed; the data relating to the scientific basis for the design of grain and material compositions of refractory concrete mixtures for the organization of monolithic linings of thermal units and the manufacture of products of complex configuration, methods of directional control of the formation of a dense low-porous and mechanically strong structure of concrete. The influence of the components of the matrix component of low-cement concretes and additives of deflocculants, plasticizers and dispersants on the water demand of concrete mixtures, the processes of hydration of high-aluminous cement in relation to the re-technological properties of concrete masses and indicators of properties of chamotte, high-alumina and carbide-containing concrete. The classification features, types of binders, peculiarities of the technology of manufacturing magnesia concretes, peculiarities of the mechanism of hydration and methods of preventing the formation of brusite, grain and material deposits of magnesia concretes on the basis of the MgO - Al2O3 - SiO2 system are considered. On the basis of analysis and generalization of the data of scientific and technical literature, perspective directions of the technology of refractory concrete development on the basis of the Al2O3-SiO2-MgO-CaO-SiC system have been determined, and recommendations for the practical realization of theoretical research and practical experience in the design of concrete mixtures for the expansion of the product range of the enterprise have been developed. for metallurgical production.
