Research methods: induction and deduction (analysis and synthesis of research results), analogies (comparison between bacterized and non-bacterized herbage, fertilizer options), generalization (conclusions and suggestions) and special: field - monitoring the growth and development of plants during the growing season, yield formation; laboratory - definition of chemical composition of grass mixtures, accumulation of dry matter in meadow phytocenoses, mathematical and statistical - dispersion, correlation, regression - assessment of the reliability of experimental data; computational-comparative - the definition of yield and feed quality, economic efficiency of the studied elements of technology. The scientific novelty of the study lies in the fact that in the conditions of the Western Forest Steppe, for the first time in field fodder production, the seeding rates of red clover and alfalfa in single-species and joint crops have been investigated. The problems of spatial distribution of the components of clover-cereal and alfalfa-cereal agrophytocenoses under the influence of various methods of sowing their components have been studied. Research results. The elements of varietal technologies for the cultivation of meadow clover in single-species and joint crops have been developed, which consist in the fact that single-species and joint agrophytocenoses of meadow clover Peacock are sown with a seeding rate of the legume component 6 million / ha of germinating seeds, variety Sparta - 10 million / ha of germinating seeds that provides a level of profitability of 55.4-62.3% and 43.7-50.5%, respectively. It has been established that single-species and compatible crops of alfalfa of the sowing variety Seraphim and Sinyukha are recommended to be sown with the norm sowing 10 million / ha of viable seeds; clover-cereal and alfalfa-grass mixtures should be sown separately by the cross method, since the level of profitability on the specified variants of experience is 54.0-59.5%, respectively, and alfalfa-cereal - 50.2-60.4%.
