In men suffering from thyroid cancer, the patients after surgical treatment and two or more courses of radioiodine therapy was detected increased concentrations of follytropine levels in 4-6 months and 8-12 months, with the highest hormone levels observed in 8-12 months after last course. The average blood level of follytropin in patients who received several courses was significantly higher in the period after 8-12 months after the last course of radioiodine therapy compared with a group of patients who received one course of radioiodine therapy. The average concentrations of lutropin, total and free testosterone and prolactin in patients after two or more courses of radioiodine therapy did not significantly differe from the control group. In patients after a few courses was observed significant increase of sperm DNA fragmentation in the immediate and long term follow-up. Also we revealed a reduction in the number of sperm, a percentage fraction of active motility sperm, and an increase in the number of leukocytes in the ejaculate.
