It has been established that indospicine in the extract of Indigofera spicata exhibits its cytostatic and cytotoxic effects in the culture medium deprived of the individual amino acid arginine, inhibiting the ability of tumor cells to restore proliferation after prolonged starvation for arginine. An increase in the concentration of the above-mentioned synthetic analogue of arginine to 0.4 mM, equivalent to the concentration of arginine in the medium, did not lead to an increase in the cytotoxicity of the drug. In addition, the combined effect of fasting for arginine and the used synthetic analogue of arginine did not have a noticeable effect on the resumption of tumor cells proliferation after arginine starvation. Experimental studies using the recombinant human arginase to produce arginine deficiency will be continued. Product Description popup.authors Бобак Я.П. Вовк О.І. Маєвська О.М. Чень О.І.
