The aim of study is to research the efficacy of the industrial wastewater treatment in the area of the "Motor Sich" JSC from petroleum products by using the "VIIA" fiber carrier and the "Ekolan" adsorbent and to develop a method of biological treatment of surface water. According to the results of our research, we have found that the use of "VIIA" artificial fiber for the purpose of secondary treatment from petroleum products at the stormwater treatment plants appears to be expedient. The introduction of fibrous filler has contributed to the immobilization and growth of microorganisms that destroy petroleum products. The increase in biomass of organisms per unit of time and the complexification of a food chain each time ensured a reduction in the concentration of pollutants in the samples under study. The novelty of our research lies in the fact that for the first time the efficacy of using the "VIIA" type nozzle as an agent for the purification of storm sewage from petroleum products in comparison with the traditional purification methods using the "Ekolan" adsorbent has been investigated. A method of biological surface water purification has also been developed, which can be used for biological purification of rivers, lakes, reservoirs and the like.
