The purpose of the study is to scientifically substantiate and experimentally test the program of professional-applied physical training of mechanical engineers in the agro-industrial production, which provides the necessary physical readiness for productive work and active life. Research methods - to achieve this goal, the following groups of methods were used: theoretical analysis and synthesis of scientific and methodical literature, pedagogical, sociological, physiometric methods and methods of mathematical statistics. The leading psychophysiological and physical qualities, providing successful professional activity of mechanical engineers of agro-industrial production, are highlighted. Experimentally proved the positive impact of weightlifting on increasing the level of physical development, physical fitness, physical health, the formation of professionally important psychophysiological qualities of mechanical engineers of agro-industrial production. The content of the program for improving the professional-applied physical training of mechanical engineers has been substantiated by means of kettlebell lifting.
