Objective: to test and verify (according to the results of static tests) methods for determining zones of destruction of the fuel compartment of the second stage under loading with internal excessive pressure, as well as developing models for determining the deformation field and stress on the surface of the structure and destructive loads taking into account the plastic deformations of the material based on a computer experiment. Mathematical models and numerical algorithms for calculating shells under the influence of internal pressure have been developed. Approaches are proposed for determining the limiting values of stresses in fuel tanks of resistant shell structures from the point of view of strength for specified types of external loading. The developed approaches were applied to the calculation of shell structures of the second stage of the rocket in the state enterprise M.K.Yangel State Design Office "Yuzhnoye". Sectors of application: engineering, transportation, building, aerospace.
