The clustering method has been used for the absolute and relative classification of clouds by intensity and cloud density. The statistical characteristics of clouds are used to determine the direction and speed of movement. A new neural network method of segmentation of images on which cloud objects are present are proposed. It is shown how the probability of correct segmentation depends on the size of the training and test sample. The experimental data of the time required for training and direct operation of the network depending on the size of the image are given.
