The growth-regulating activity of synthetic compounds was compared with the activity of phytohormones of auxins 3-indolylacetic acid (IAA) and 1-naphthylacetic acid (NAA) used in the range of physiologically active concentrations 10-7 M - 10-9 M. According to the studied physiological and biochemical indices of plant growth and development during the vegetative stage, it was found that the growth-regulating activity of synthetic compounds, derivatives of pyrimidine and pyrazole is similar or exceeds the activity of auxins IAA and NAA. The scientific and practical significance of the research lies in the prospect of developing on the basis of the most physiologically active synthetic compounds selected in the process of screening of new effective, environmentally friendly growth regulators of plants of haricot bean, tomato, pea, pepper, corn, wheat, radish and carrot.
