The aim of the work is to develop scientifically substantiated proposals and recommendations for the development and implementation of child safety and welfare standards in Ukraine at various levels and to determine the appropriate targets for national child policy. The methodological basis of the study is the provisions of national legislation and international instruments in the field of protection and protection of the rights of the child, as well as the work of domestic and foreign scientists, international organizations on the formation and implementation of standards of safety and well-being of the child. The research applied such general scientific and special methods as: system analysis, synthesis, abstract-logical, comparative-economic, groupings and classifications, economic-statistical, expert evaluation, etc. Practical value of work is the possibility of using its results when creating the future State Child Safety Standard in Ukraine, as well as improving the legislation on the protection of the rights of the child in the context of European integration. Scope of implementation: the results of the study can be used in the implementation of the Action Plan for the implementation of the National Human Rights Strategy for the period up to 2020, in particular the development and implementation of intergovernmental, state, inter-industry, sectoral standards of safety and welfare of the child, as well as the Interdepartmental Commission on Protection childhood when creating and implementing the State Child Safety Standard in Ukraine.
