Balancing the nutritional value of dairy cows by 1 kg of dry matter into the diet is the basis of the norms of the needs of macro- and micronutrients in many developed and developed countries, but it should be noted that various authors provide different data needs, that is, there is no single balancing criterion on which to base physiological norms for the needs of milk products and metabolic processes in the body. The purpose of the research is to balance the mineral nutrition of cows by the need of macro- and trace elements for the formation of milk and metabolic processes in the body in comparison with the existing standards of mineral substances per 1 kg of dry matter substances of the diet. The zootechnical and physiological studies were conducted in accordance with generally accepted methods in accordance with the requirements of the current normative documents of Ukraine. New principles of balancing mineral nutrition of dairy cows have been developed taking into account the need for metabolic processes and milk formation, as this principle promotes the intensification of metabolic processes in the animal organism, better assimilation of nutrients, increases their transformation into products, which provides a high level of productivity at lower feed costs on unit of production. The scope of use is the scientific institutions of the NAAS system and agroforming of various forms of property engaged in dairy cattle breeding.
