According to the results of research, they developed: the method of reproduction of sterile genotypes of tomato in vitro, which made it possible to increase productivity by 90% when creating heterotic hybrids; methodical recommendations on breeding and modern technologies of reproduction and cultivation of sweet potatoes (Ipomoea batatas L.), in which they presented an accelerated scheme of the selection process using a biotechnological link at the stage of reproduction of genotypes of a new niche culture; the method of accelerated reproduction of genotypes of sweet potato introductors in an in vitro culture, which provided for obtaining a healthy planting material with tuber marketability at the level of 80%; a method for producing tetraploid forms of watermelon using chemical mutagenesis and in vitro culture of isolated tissues, which reduced the cost of producing seedless triploid watermelon hybrids and ensured the maintenance of valuable tetraploid forms and increased their multiplication rate from 1:25 to 1: 500; a method of creating resistant to fusarium of cucumber selection forms, which made it possible within 9 months to differentiate selection samples according to their level of resistance to fusarium wilt and carried out their reproduction under laboratory conditions. According to the research results, 2 methodological recommendations were published, 2 patents for utility models were received, 1 patent application was filed. On the basis of the developed methodological approaches, sources of resistance to biotic and abiotic factors of cucumber and tomato have been identified.
