Objective: to improve the methods of synthetic (heterotic and varietal breeding) zucchini by establishing phylogenetic relationships in the starting material based on the molecular-genetic method for assessing the allelic composition of high-precision inter-microsatellite loci. As a result of studying the collection of varieties and hybrids of Cucurbita pepo L. of different geographical origin, the genetic structure of the genotypes used was assessed based on intermicrosatellite markers, high intraspecific and interpopulation genetic polymorphism was established, as well as minor genetic divergence between the samples studied. Unique DNA sequences have been found that can be used to certify the corresponding varietal and hybrid genotypes, as well as to develop more specific molecular genetic markers. The obtained data are important as an element of marker-associated selection, which will allow optimizing the selection in varietal and hybrid selection of zucchini, as well as for further research in the field of molecular genetics of this type of vegetable.
