The object of investigation - medicinal plants Matricaria chamomilla, Silybum marianu, Bidens tripartite, Salvia officinalis. The aim of research - developing of radiation biotechnology increasing produce and isomeric variation of secondary metabolites in medicinal plants in vitro to raise their pharmaceutical value. The methods of investigation - radiobiological, molecular-biological, plant cultivation in laboratory and field, spectrophotometric, chromatographic, biochemical, physiological, microscopical, statistical. Effect of pre-sowing radiation exposure (dose range 20-35 Gy) of Salvia officinalis seeds to increasing amount of both essential oil trichomes and inclusions through epidermis was shown using microscopical studies. Summarized analysing of morphometric, spectrophotometric, biochemical data concerning effect of pre-sowing radiation exposure to increasing biomass and yield of pharmaceutically valuable both flavonoid and phenol compounds into water-ethanolic extracts was done. It was indicated that pre-sowing radiation exposure of Matricaria chamomilla seeds (dose range 10-50 Gy, reproducible maximum under 10 Gy) stimulated sum yield both flavonoid and phenol content into water-ethanolic extracts following higher biomass. Based on four-year investigation stimulating doses increasing produce of secondary metabolites in Matricaria chamomilla, Silybum marianu, Bidens tripartite, Salvia officinalis were indicated within 5-50 Gy dose range. According to obtained data 1 paper was published, 1 patent for a utility model was obtained and 3 conference reports were made.
