The subject of research - physical causes, mechanisms and regularities of the formation of nanostructures on metal surfaces under the action of femtosecond laser radiation. The purpose of the work is to increase the biocompatibility of implants of alloys of titanium and zirconium by nanostructuring of their surface by pulsed laser treatment. Methods of research - variation of laser pulse parameters (power density, duration, wavelength, repetition frequency, polarization) during the precise machining of surface of metals and alloys, optical and electron microscopic diagnostics of the created nanostructures. The influence of laser radiation parameters (power density, pulse duration, wavelength, polarization) on the changes of the surface of samples of alloys based on titanium and zirconium, as well as dental implants based on zirconium oxide, provided by the partner - PE "Excima", Zaporizhia, and as a result of changing the form - the biocompatibility of these materials. The formation of periodic surface structures under the simultaneous action of fundamental radiation (800 nm) and the second harmonic (400 nm) of a femtosecond laser is demonstrated. The linear law of the dispersion of surface plasmon polaritons is established. The radiation parameters and treatment regimes have been determined, which provide the best biocompatibility of the treated materials for dental implantation. The implementation of the results is planned for PE "Excima", Zaporizhia. The field of possible use is medical implantation technologies, in particular in dentistry, and precise laser processing and surface marking technologies.
