Research goal is to determine secondary photorefractive centers which responsible for the formation of a slow photorefractive grating and photoinduced scattering of light in Sn2P2S6:Sb crystals; to develop a theoretical model of photorefractive redistribution of charge carriers in Sn2P2S6:Sb crystals. Methods of research: an experiment with a standard setup of holography (holographic record of photorefractive gratings was performed, their optical characteristics were determined); experiment on optical sensing of samples (photoinduced amplification of photorefractive light scattering was carried out, its characteristics were determined). Characterization of photorefractive gratings in Sn2P2S6:Sb crystals has been carried out. In particular, the gain factors and the characteristic times of these gratings are determined. The dependences of the gain factors and the characteristic formation times from the period of the recorded grating and the intensity of the recording light are constructed. The angular distribution of the intensity of the scattered light is constructed. The kinetics of photoinduced scattering in this crystal is explained on the basis of the photorefractive properties of Sn2P2S6:Sb. The activation energy of photorefractive centers which responsible for the formation of a compensating grating and the activation energy of photorefractive centers associated with photoinduced amplification of photorefractive scattering in antimony doped crystals of tin hypothiodiphosphate have been determined. The obtained activation energies correspond to the energy level of the impurity ion Sb3 + / Sb2 +. A theoretical model for the redistribution of charge carriers in Sn2P2S6:Sb crystals is proposed. This model allow for explanation of photoinduced amplification of photorefractive scattering and the dependence of the characteristic time of the formation of a compensating grating on the intensity of the recording light.
