Taking into account modifications of nomenclature-taxonomic nature, based on the latest data and changes in taxonomy, as well as the results of the review of the collection material composition, HPDP consists of 38 strains (29 species). The taxonomic distribution of the algae collection is as follows: 5 divisions – Сyanoprokaryota, Сhlorophyta, Сharophyta, Euglenophyta and Rhodophyta. , 6 classes – Cyanophyceae, Chlorophyceae, Trebouxiophyceae, Conjugatophyceae (Zygnematophyceae), Euglenophyceae та Porphyridiophyceae, 9 orders – Nostocales, Chroococcales, Oscillatoriales, Sphaeropleales, Chlamydomonadales, Chlorellales, Desmidiales, Euglenales та Porphyridiales, 14 genera – Nostocaceae, Rivulariaceae, Hapalosiphonaceae, Microcystaceae, Coleofasciculaceae, Microcoleaceae, Oscillatoriaceae, Selenastraceae, Scenedesmaceae, Chlamydomonadaceae, Chlorellaceae, Desmidiaceae, Euglenaceae, Porphyridiaceae and 22 genus. Division Сyanoprokaryota includes 15 species (23 strains), Сhlorophyta – 11 species (12 strains), Сharophyta – 1 species (1 strain), Euglenophyta – 1 species (1 strain) and Rhodophyta 1 species – (1 strain). The electron version of catalogue (with photos) of microalgae strains of Microalgae Collection of the Institute of hydrobiology (HPDP) for future placing on the Institute site.
