The purpose of the work is to research and scientifically-practical substantiation of the competitiveness of oil and fat products in the domestic and world markets due to the rational use of energy resources. The study was conducted using the methods of system-wide analysis: the collection and processing of information; conducting analytical work; comparisons; planned calculations and justifications; forecasting; formal logical; expert assessments; index and the like. An algorithm for conducting an energy audit and a procedure for determining specific fuel and energy costs for finished products have been developed. A procedure has been developed for the preparation and analysis of fuel and energy balances for existing enterprises. Defined economic performance during the energy audit. Provided typical scientific, technical and economic recommendations for improving energy efficiency in the use of energy carriers. A sectoral regulatory document "Methodology for the organization and maintenance of a comprehensive energy audit at fat-and-oil industry enterprises" was developed. The results of the research in the context of constantly growing prices for major types of energy resources will provide an opportunity to significantly reduce dependence on energy suppliers and, as a result, resolve the issue of reducing value added in the cost of oil and fat products, which will further enhance its competitiveness both in the domestic and international markets.
