Purpose: determination of the position of the Matuyama-Brunhes boundary in the Quaternary loess-soil deposition of Ukraine and their correlation, construction of a unified stratigraphic scheme, improving the methodology for studying subaerial deposits using the paleomagnetic method. Methods of research: paleomagnetic, petromagnetic. Results and their novelty: complex of magnetostratigraphic studies was carried out in the 7 key Quarternary loess-soil sections of Ukraine. Based on the paleomagnetic study of the subaerial sediments of the Pleistocene of Ukraine, the Matuyama-Brunhes boundaryis defined in the Shyrokino climatolite of the loess-soil formation of Ukraine. It is proposed to compare the Shyrokino horizon with MIS19 in the unified stratigraphic scheme of the Pleistocene of Ukraine.
