According to the identification of immunosuppressive birds of the waterfowl, a database of their distribution in different regions of Ukraine was created: in 18.6% parvovirus was detected, in 9.3% - polyomavirus. Circulation of reoviruses in poultry holdings in Ukraine has been confirmed: three reovirus isolates have been isolated and antibodies to it have been detected in seven of the nine farms studied. The serological researches of 764 samples of blood serum of waterfowl for the presence of antibodies and the immunity intensity to geese enteritis, viral hepatitis of ducks were conducted. The circulation of pathogenic viruses in breeding waterfowl farms is not limited to parvovirus, polyomavirus and reovirus and needs to expand the spectrum of the viruses under study. Conditions of reproduction of reovirus in the culture of fibroblasts of geese embryos have been optimized, which allows to increase the infectious titre of the virus up to 6.5 lg TCD50 / 0.2 cm3 with infection at a dose of 10-3 TCD50 in 1.0 cm3 at a temperature of 37 ° C and incubation time of 72 hours. The introduction of developed serological methods for the determination of antibodies to poliomyvirus in the neutralization reaction in the culture of kidney cells and reovirus in the reaction of indirect hemagglutination makes it possible to conduct an epizootic survey of poultry farms of various forms of ownership with respect to these viruses.
