The purpose of the work is to assess the histological and biochemical parameters of the reproductive potential of invasive species of hydrobionts, as a physiological response of the organism to new habitats, to establish ecological features of invasive species of fish and crayfish in the conditions of the Prydneprove region, which give these species certain advantages when entering and interfering with local ecosystems, as well as the study of changes in the biological productivity of reservoirs that arise under the influence of the life of invasive organisms. Methods of research: hydrochemical, hydrobiological, ichthyological, histological, cytological, physiological and biochemical. The scientific report contains an overview of the transformation of hydrobiocenoses under the influence of an invasive process; the characterization of the hydrochemical regime of the Zaporizhzhya (Dnieper) reservoir; estimation of species composition, age structure, reproductive potential of fishing ichthyofauna; the characterization of some invasive species; calculations of fish stocks; results of histological and cytological studies of reproductive indices of invasive hydrobionts; the characterization of the biochemical mechanisms of adaptation of invasive species at the molecular level; practical recommendations for carrying out biomeliorative measures for the restoration and conservation of aboriginal species. For the first time, studies of the reproductive potential (features of reproduction, oogenesis and spermatogenesis) of the invasive species of the water reservoirs of the Prydneprove region on the example of the Pumpkinseed, Prussian carp, Black and Caspian Sea sprat, and marbled crayfish were conducted. Practical recommendations contain limits and forecasts for catching water bioresources in the Zaporozhye (Dniprovsky) reservoir for 2019, valid calculations of introduction of herbivorous and aboriginal fish species, a complex of biomelioration measures that will increase the fish productivity of the reservoirs. A program of regional management of water bioresources has been developed.
