Scientific novelty: the administrative data of publishing production by publishing companies in 2017-2018 were worked out and analyzed, the role of the mass media in forming the positive image of Ukraine in the world, the state of functioning of the systems of the OP, ISBN / ISMN, the completeness of the information content of the original information of the publications was analyzed, created new electronic reference and information resources. The results of the study are intended for use by: State Committee for Television and Radio Broadcasting, the State Statistics Service of Ukraine, other public authorities for defining the areas of state policy in publishing and information, publishing and librarians, media organizations, scientific and educational institutions.
