Methods of research: numerical prognostic hydrodynamic models of oceanographic processes in the marine environment, spectral model of wind waves, physical-statistical methods for prediction of ice and sea level regimes. Existing physico-statistical equations for mid-term forecasting of the dates of ice occurrence and cleansing from ice in the ports of the Sea of Azov - Black Sea basin were examined. New prognostic equations, intended to be used in operational practice, were derived. The following tools were approbated: a statistical model for long-term prediction of winter severity; a technique for long-term forecasting of ice phenomena in the Black Sea and in the Sea of Azov on the basis of seasonal forecast of air temperature anomalies over Ukraine. A technique for short-term forecasting of wind-induced water level variations in the ports "Chernomorsk" and "Yujny" with the use of physico-statistical equations of regression was developed and tested. A copyrighted 2D numerical hydrodynamic model for prediction of wind-induced water level variations and the set of coupled numerical models, composed of open-source multi-dimensional hydrodynamic model Delft3D-FLOW and prognostic spectral model SWAN for the computation of parameters of the wind waves, under scenarios of data assimilation from GFS model wind reanalysis and wind forecast archives, were verified. A possible use of convection-permitting model HARMONIE as a component of the modelling system for air-sea interaction forecasting was investigated. Product Description popup.authors Іванов С. В.
