The purpose of the work is the study, attribution and systematization of sources on the history of jewelry art in Ukraine, the introduction of new scientific information on socio-cultural and historical processes into scientific circulation. The purpose of the work is attribution and systematization of jewelry items from the collection of MIKU - a branch of the NMHU. Methods of research - formal-typological, comparative-historical. During research, the data of related disciplines, including natural methods of material analysis, was used. The results of the research work are analyzed and systematized by a certain part of the collection of MIKU - a branch of the NMHU. A significant source material was introduced to the scientific circulation, which allows us to trace the laws of the historical development of jewelry art and related fields of culture from the time of early iron to the present. The sources analyzed during 2018 give a deeper insight into the cultural processes that took place during antiquity, the Middle Ages, the new and the modern times. The results are already in use and can be further used to deepen research into the history of culture of different peoples living on the territory of Ukraine from the time of antiquity to the present. They are a reliable basis for further improvement of the exposition as a Museum of Historical Treasures of Ukraine - a branch of the National Library of Ukraine, as well as other museums. They can be used for generalizing works on the history of the Scythian-Sarmatian period and the Middle Ages, the history of Ukrainian, European and Russian goldsmiths, the history of Jewish culture, and the contemporary jewelry art.
