It has been shown that catheter destruction of the substrate of atrial fibrillation without the use of navigation systems and cooling electrodes is no less effective than the standard method and is successful in 77.4% of patients with paroxysmal arrhythmia and 54% with nonparoxysmal. It was shown that catheter destruction of the substrate of atrial fibrillation without the use of navigation systems and cooling electrodes is a safe method with a frequency of significant complications of 1.6-2.5%. Introduction to the wide practice of catheter treatment of atrial fibrillation without the use of navigation systems and cooling electrodes will significantly reduce the cost of the procedure while maintaining its high efficiency and safety.
