Laws of collecting light on PD from scintillators of different shapes and sizes were investigated. The results of modeling the passage of light from different points of the scintillator to the PD can predict the contribution of the scintillator to the resolution of the scintillation spectrometer. The program of computer simulation of the spectrum of scintillation gamma spectrometer was developed. The program: simulates the interaction of gamma radiation with the materials of the detector, determines the scintillation site, calculates, for each scintillation, determines the amount of light entering into PD.
