The object of the study is methods and equipment for measuring the temperature dependences of thermoelectric parameters of materials. The purpose of the work is to increase the speed of the determination of the properties of thermoelectric materials by use of the absolute method, while preserving the level of accuracy achieved, as well as the computerization of the processes of measurement and the processing of their results. As a result of the project implementation, methods have been developed to increase the speed of measurement of thermoelectric properties with the absolute method. The essence of the methods consists in the temporary passage of an alternating current through the test sample that allows increasing the speed of reaching stationary conditions in samples 3 to 5 fold by way of accelerating the heating of the central part of the sample with the Joule heat, as well as in the application of forced heating of the hot side of the sample with a reference heater. Combining these two methods allows increasing the speed of reaching stationary conditions in samples up to 8-10 times. The possibility of carrying out measurements under conditions of continuous monotonic heating was also studied, the magnitudes of possible measurement errors were determined and the conditions for their minimization were established. Computer models for determining the thermostat heater supply current optimal control functions, reference and screen heaters, as well as alternating current passed through the sample are developed. A reduction by 3 to 5 times in the time required for the complete cycle of measurement by the absolute method of temperature dependence of the thermoelectric properties of an individual sample of the material as a whole is achieved. The developed methods for increasing the speed of operation have become the basis for the modernization of the measuring equipment, by the level of accuracy up to 5 times higher than the well-known analogues. Computerization of measurement processes using new algorithms with the increased speed was carried out. The computerized control unit for measuring; and automated equipment on its basis was developed and manufactured to determine the properties of samples of thermoelectric materials with an absolute method. The developed metrological equipment, due to its advantages, enjoys the worldwide demand. It is delivered and introduced into the technological process of the companies of Ukraine, Germany, Taiwan, etc., which are engaged in the development and manufacturing of thermoelectric products.
