Aim of study: to determine the structural and functional features of the dental system tissues structure of a person, to determine the mechanisms of development of disorders in generalized periodontitis, as well as to justify methods of treatment of major dental diseases with somatic disorders. Results of study: The structural and functional features of the structure of tissues of the human dental system, the changes in the activity of the glutathione system in case of bacterial and immune periodontitis, the mechanisms of the development of disorders and the features of the nonspecific and specific parts of the immune protection in case of generalized periodontitis on the background of concomitant somatic pathologies and were developed their correction methods. The research results are introduced into the educational process of a number of departments of higher educational institutions of Ukraine.
