The aim of work is to develop scientific and methodological basis for the use of modern disinfectants in emergency situations. According to the results of research, a scientific justification has been developed for the use of modern disinfectants in emergency situations. Features of development of epidemic process, etiological structure and biological properties of causal agents and carriers of infections are considered. The criteria of selection of disinfectants of different chemical nature and conditions of their effectiveness provision are determined, which served as the basis for the prepared draft guidelines on the use of disinfectants in emergency situations.
