The purpose of the work is the scientific substantiation of approaches to the implementation of prevention measures for non-communicable diseases in Ukraine. Methods of research - search-information, epidemiological, analytical, computational, statistical. Research results: The analysis and generalization of students' knowledge about behavioral risk factors for the development of NCDs was conducted and the study of the prevalence of these factors among the student population was conducted. It has been established that from 72.2% to 92.2% of the students surveyed are aware of the specific risk factors of the NCD, but their awareness does not lead to an awareness of the threat to the health of these factors. The degree of prevalence of behavioral risk factors of NIS among students is determined. Excessive consumption of sugar and sugary beverages, alcoholic and low alcohol drinks, as well as insufficient consumption of fresh fruits and vegetables and insufficient level of physical activity of students was the most common. The need for further refinement and improvement of information and training programs for students in order to increase their awareness and awareness of the danger of risk factors for the development of NCDs is scientifically substantiated.
