The work is applied in all areas of research. So the study of the distribution of losses and temperatures of the stator core of the TGV-200 generators allowed the development of technical solutions for the design of this type of turbine generators for their further implementation. The research of the valve-induction motors allowed formulating new efficient implementations of engines of their own needs (compressors, fans, pumps) of electric power stations. The asynchronous end dual-stator motor of high power is proposed to be used to drive ball mills, with the exception of reducers and gears, gear shaft, which is the least reliable link of the drive. Development found the introduction of "Ukrtehteploenerho" for modernization of electric power. Creation of autonomous electric generators for power supply of battery charging devices ensures the reliability of the electromechanical complex in emergencies. High reliability indicators of electric power equipment are proposed to be provided through the application of appropriate methods and means of control and diagnostics. An experimental sample of the system of technical diagnostics is created. It is substantiated that the implementation of toroidal windings of superconducting energy storage devices capable of increasing the reliability of the electric power system should be carried out taking into account the number of superconducting coils, their cross section and their relative positioning. An example of calculating dimensionless parameters for a 450 MJ energy storage device is given.
