Such systems include landfills and solid waste disposal sites. The purpose of the work is to develop and implement methods for the thematic reduction of space images for the purpose of determining unauthorized dumps and sites for the placement of waste landfills within the framework of sustainable development of the country. Research methods are theoretical: apparatus of set theory, decision making, probability theory, fractal analysis; experimental: functional modeling, system analysis of waste storage and utilization projects. RES results are theoretical bases, models and methods of information technologies for monitoring the state of the environment of landfills of solid household waste, adjacent territories and places of unauthorized dumps. The field of application of the results is geo-information applications for monitoring systems of the environment, their software and network components.
