Methods of research - mathematical modeling (numerical methods of finite elements), test experiments. The analysis of sources of information on the determination of the mechanisms of electric current influence on the morphology of intermetallic Fe showed, that the treatment of silumin melts by electric current both in the over liquidus zone and during crystallization functionally contributes to the improvement of the morphology of iron intermetallics. The use of electrodes immersed at different depths, with an isolated side surface, makes it possible to more actively influence the nature and intensity of the thermosetting effect on the melt with conductive electric current treatment (CECT). The algorithm of calculation of electric characteristics of current in a melt for the visual and simple representation of mechanisms of influence of an electric current on inclusion of intermetallic was developed. Experiments on electric current treatment of AK7 alloy in the liquid state with a Fe content of 2.8% showed that the characteristic size of the b-phase Fe significantly (several times) decreases precisely with the application of parallel electrodes immersed at different depths and with isolated side surface Product Description popup.authors Іванов А.В.
