The main task of such analysis is detection and analysis of the frequency range of vibrations, which is caused by spectrum shifting, i.e. is a result of the modulation of the rotation harmonics by a stochastic component. Using of covariance methods for the searching and analysis of the hidden periodicities allows one only to estimate the general power of modulation interaction without specification of its spectral structure. The carried out investigations shown that the analysis of the periodic non-stationarity properties in the frequency domain allows one to investigate structure of the damage in details and to improve the defects detection, define their types and to separate sources of vibration.
