The rate constants of these reactions are determined. There is a good correlation between the rate constants of the H-atom detachment reaction and the "sigma"+ -constant substituents in the coordinates of the Hammett equation. New coumarin derivatives are effectively oxidized with molecular oxygen in the presence of laccase from Trametes versicolor. The Michaelis constants and the maximal rates of consumption of oxygen and coumarin derivatives and the stoichiometry of these reactions by the oxygen:substrate ratio are determined.
