In particular, the scientific approaches to determining the forecasting of the use of the resource potential of the region and the peculiarities of forecasting the use of the resource potential with the orientation to the economic security of the region are considered. The methodological provisions of the forecast development are substantiated, and the stages of formation of the modern methodology of the forecasting of the use of the resource potential are determined; the importance of checking forecasts with the help of constructing models is proved. Conceptual approaches to the socio-economic development of the region are developed in the context of the introduction of economical use of the resource potential. The application of an innovative approach to the hierarchical structure of the levels of processing of social, economic and ecological interaction within the framework of sustainable development is substantiated. The peculiarities of the management of the use of regional resource potential in the framework of ecological and economic security and the methodological principles of the consideration and regulation of social components of the formation of economic security of the country's regions are deepened. The methodical recommendations for forecasting the environment in the implementation of the principles of economical use of the resource potential at the regional level are proposed and the construction of forecasting of the use of the resource potential is grounded in order to determine the further possibility of socio-economic development of the regions and ensuring their economic security, which has been tested at the level of the Odessa region. Regionalization of regions according to the level of resource potential, the degree of its use and the system of economic security has been carried out. The demographic and resource security at the regional level are analyzed. Recommendations for introducing innovative approaches to the hierarchical structure of the levels of processing social, economic and environmental cooperation within the framework of sustainable development, as well as proposals aimed at making managerial decisions in order to predict the situation and ensure economic security in the regions are proposed.
