The theoretical bases of algorithmic processing of digital video images with the measuring information about geometric parameters and parameters of object movement are developed. The mathematical model of the formation and transformation of measuring information in the instrument system is researched. It is suggested to use methods based on artificial neural networks to adapt the instrument system to non-stationary measurement conditions and to process the measurement information about mechanical values. The list of mechanical values subject to measurement in applied problems of quality control of industrial products made of natural stone, determination of physical and mechanical characteristics of diesel biofuels from alternative raw materials on the basis of research of video images of processes of its spraying, control of ecological parameters of the environment on the basis of research video images of water samples. The possibility of using the instrument system in these tasks is substantiated.
