The aim of the work is to develop a local system for breeding and hybridization pigs using modern breeding and molecular genetic methods on the farms of southern Ukraine. The research methods are experimental, zootechnical, genetic-population and mathematical statistics with the use of computer technology. The level of general and specific combining ability of the maternal and paternal lines of the Ukrainian Steppe White and Ukrainian Meat breeds is determined. The efficiency of crossing modern genotypes the pigs of foreign and domestic selection has been established. The selection and genetic performance parameters of purebred, crossbred and hybrid young stock were determined, its features were determined according to the distribution of molecular genetic markers. A local system of purebred breeding and hybridization of pigs with maximum use of domestic and foreign (Landras, Large White and Petren) gene pools has been developed, which allows us to provide commercial production with high-performance purebred and hybrid young stock.
