Localized disturbances in the ionosphere caused by the action of a ground-based acoustic radiator are revealed. The propagation of infrasonic waves from the earth's surface to the ionosphere heights in the framework of the non-linear model of the atmosphere is theoretically investigated. For analyzing satellite information, appropriate algorithms and software have been developed. The interaction of acoustic-gravity waves with horizontally inhomogeneous flows is investigated. The obtained theoretical results are used to interpret the data of observations of low-frequency wave processes in the ionosphere from measurements on a satellite Dynamic Explorer 2.
